Golf Equipment includes
Golf Equipment includes golf clubs, golf bags, golf trolleys, waterproof golf clothing, golf umbrellas and golf shoes used for practising and playing golf, whether owned or hired for the trip.
Golf optional cover includes benefits for Golf Equipment, Equipment Hire and Unused Green Fees, subject to the applicable limits, conditions and exclusions in the PDS.
Golf as an activity
Recreational golf is automatically included as a covered sport and leisure activity under the policy.
If you are only concerned about overseas medical expenses for an injury sustained while playing recreational golf, you may not need Golf optional cover for that purpose alone.
Golf optional cover is designed for the golf-specific benefits, including Golf Equipment, Equipment Hire and Unused Green Fees.
When the optional cover matters
Things to know before you travel
Like all travel insurance, Golf optional cover has limits, conditions and exclusions.
Golf optional cover is subject to the same conditions and exclusions as the Personal Property section of the policy, except where amended by the Golf section.
There is no cover for deliberate damage, gross misuse of Golf Equipment, damage sustained to Golf Equipment while in use, or loss, theft or damage while being carried on a vehicle roof rack.
You should also keep receipts, proof of ownership, booking confirmations and written reports from airlines, transport providers or golf operators where relevant.
