Getting sick in a foreign country can be a scary and confusing situation. If you require emergency medical assistance or treatment whilst overseas, the Go Insurance emergency medical assistance team is ready to help you 24 hours a day, 7 days a week every single day of the year.
If you are admitted to an overseas hospital or your medical costs are likely to exceed the equivalent of AU$2,000 you should contact our emergency medical assistance team for help.
They can assist you by negotiating with the hospital’s billing department to guarantee payments, their trained medical professionals can consult with your treating doctor in a variety of languages, they are able to make arrangements for you to be returned to Australia if medically necessary and they can contact a family member back home to keep them informed of your progress.
All claims must be notified to our office within 30 days of your policy expiry or return to Australia, whichever is the earlier.

When your claim submission is received at our office, we will send you an email within one business day to let you know it has arrived.
We will then assess your claim within ten business days as per the general insurance Code of Practice. If we require further information or documentation from you, we will request this within ten business days. Ensure you enclose all relevant supporting documents with your claim form that will help us to process your claim faster.
